We started January 2019 with a median sale price of $144,250 for single-family homes. This number shows an increase of 11 percent from the $130,000 recorded this same time last year. The average sale price for homes in this area is $159,637, which is up 5.9 percent from the beginning of January 2018.

There were 724 closed sales in December 2018, which shows a decrease of 11.8 percent from the 821 homes sold this time last year. We moved in January of 2019 with 2,205 active listings for the South Central Kansas area. This number shows a slight decrease of 0.4 percent from the beginning of January of 2018.

Thereโ€™s a 2.5 months supply of available homes for sale in South Central Kansas. For the market to be considered balanced, there needs to be a 6-month supply of available homes.
