We started March 2019 with a median sale price of $142,000 for single-family homes. This number shows an increase of 5.9 percent from the $134,150 recorded this same time last year and an increase from last month’s $140,000. The average sale price for homes in this area is $157,430, which is up 3.9 percent from the beginning of March 2018.

South Central Kansas recorded 857 new listings for February, which shows an 8.8 percent drop from the 940 seen this time last year. There were 1,143 pending contracts and 798 contracts written during February. In contrast to last month, pending contacts dropped slightly and written contracts increased.
