We started June 2019 with a median sale price of $157,900 for single-family homes. We see an increase from last month’s $145,000 and a 5.3 percent increase from the $150,000 this time last year. The average sale price for homes in this area is $172,597, which is up 4.5 percent from the beginning of June 2018.
There were 1,122 closed sales in May 2019, which shows an increase of 2.7 percent from the 1,093 homes sold this time last year. We moved into June 2019 with 1,992 active listings for the South Central Kansas area. This number shows a decrease of 11.5 percent from the beginning of June 2018.
