We see an increase from the last month’s $138,000, but when it comes to a comparison with this time last year, the number remains consistent. The average sale price for homes in this area is $162,873, which is up 0.3 percent from the beginning of May 2018.
There were 863 closed sales in April 2019, which shows a decrease of 2.6 percent from the 886 homes sold this time last year. We moved into May 2019 with 1,984 active listings for the South Central Kansas area. This number shows a decrease of 7.1 percent from the beginning of May 2018.
